Doocey Group
The phrase "Chapter 8" is frequently used to refer to the livery that is placed on vans and road maintenance vehicles designed for traffic management. This name originates from the Traffic Signs Manual where Chapter 8 discusses temporary signs and safety regulations which are applicable to vehicles on roads.
We were approached by the Doocey Group to install a chevron design on to one of their new work vans. Doocey group are a multi-disciplined civil engineering and utility contractor that operates across the UK providing a plethora of services such as water, gas, highways and structural engineering jobs.
Any vehicle that does work on roads is instructed by law to have a chapter 8 chevron installed on to the back and the same applies to any signage that may need to be used as well. This is to ensure visibility so other road users can recognise a utility vehicle without any discrepancies or issues.
Once we received the van we got to work. We measured the size of the chapter 8 chevron compared to the rear van doors where they would be placed, we then carefully applied them to the door of the van, making sure to not have any folds in the chevrons and making sure there were no air bubbles trapped underneath. We got this finished up and then we were ready to show the client.
The client was really pleased with the result and we were. If you would like to have a chapter 8 chevron design installed on to your work vans or on to other signage please do not hesitate in contacting us and we will get this done for you.
